“The history of Miller Brewing Company began in the mid-19th century, when a determined immigrant, Frederick John Miller, brought his passion for beer to the United States. Since then, Miller Brewing has grown from a small local brewer to the second largest brewery in the U.S., with seven major breweries across America. On May 30, 2002, Phillip Morris Companies and South African Breweries plc (SAB) announced the signing of an agreement to merge Miller Brewing Company into SAB. The completion of the transaction resulted in SABMiller plc, which is one of the largest brewers in the world today.”
