Exciting Changes Are Coming To CPGjobs!
This month, I am really pleased to let you know about some exciting changes coming to CPGjobs.
CPGjobs is LinkedIn™! Effective immediately, the CPGjobs job site, CPGjoblist will be LinkedIn enabled. Now, when candidates view your posted positions online, they are provided with a live link directly to your corporate profile on LinkedIn. Additionally, all candidates with a LinkedIn profile will be able to instantly view their LinkedIn connections to your personnel with LinkedIn profiles. This site enhancement augments your employment branding and professional networking efforts, and improves the overall user experience on CPGjoblist.
Automated Payments Within the next 30 days, CPGjobs will enable online credit card payments directly on CPGjobs. We will notify you once this enhancement is complete. You will then be able to purchase packages, pay for and post your own jobs using a credit card. The CPGjobs website will keep track of your account status, which you can check at any time that’s convenient for you. Positions you post to the site will be immediately published to the CPGjoblist job board. You’ll find this new job purchase service simple and easy to use. Of course, if you do require personal assistance, we are always here for you!
Expanded Services Through New Partnerships Over the last several months, we’ve been aggressively pursuing agreements with high-quality business and technology partners that will help us improve the level of service we provide to our valued clients. I am pleased to announce our recently-inked agreement with Lee McDuffey, president and CEO of Diversity Search, Inc., an industry leading provider of diversity focused recruiting, and consulting and training services. We will be providing more details on this partnership to you in the next few weeks and will keep you posted as new partners come on board in the coming months.

RETAIL TRENDS: The U.S. recession has shifted the food industry's focus from premium products to value, a trend that will continue into 2009, according to analysts interviewed by Forbes magazine. “For the past two years, grocers have been promoting organic and gourmet food offerings, which changed from the industry's prior focus on low-carb and other special diet products,” according to the magazine. Grocery marketing efforts will concentrate on value and affordability, which means there will be “an increase in coupons, special discounts and value displays.” Inflation in commodities and other costs remain relatively high, though lower than this summer. One analyst predicted that the food industry would use consumer incentives, such as "buy one, get one free," over across-the-board price cuts in 2009....Rising costs and declining spending is are not stopping Procter & Gamble from planning long-range expansion plans, Chief Operating Officer Bob McDonald told the Cincinnati Business Journal. “Rather than reacting to change, we need to create change -- we need to lead change,” said McDonald. “What we’re busy doing is training P&G managers to identify the opportunities.”
