PRIMARY BUSINESS
Sara Lee Bakery Group bakes and markets fresh, frozen and refrigerated bakery products in the United States, Europe and Australia. Major brands include Sara Lee, Earth Grains, and IronKids in the United States; Bimbo and CroustiPate in Europe; and Sara Lee in Australia. Primary products include fresh bread, buns, rolls, bagels and English muffins; frozen pies, cheesecake, pound cake and Bites; and refrigerated dough, such as biscuits, crescent rolls and pie crusts, typically sold under store-brand labels. Fresh bakery products are delivered nearly daily to grocery stores and food retailers as well as restaurants and schools by route sales representatives as part of an extensive direct-store delivery system. Frozen and refrigerated products are delivered to customers through warehouse distribution. The bakery group is focused on innovative products, packaging, and customer service.
