Executive Vice President
As Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of CPGjobs Penny Sallberg works every day to bring Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) leading companies and candidates together. Sallberg and Michael Carrillo founded CPGjobs because they saw a need that no one else was filling. Job boards were untargeted and ineffective and traditional recruiters were limited and expensive.
Sallberg's first job was with the phone company, where she became the youngest traffic manager they ever had. Her long and diverse corporate career covers many of the same sectors where she now recruits. She has been an interior designer, went to Design Tek as a temporary employee and rose from audit manager to Office Manager in six months. She worked in L.A.'s booming fashion industry before moving to the House of Marketing in Pasadena, where she served as office manager and art director.
She serves on the Board of Directors for FISMIC, President of California Diversity Council-LA and is active in the Network of Executive Women.
Sallberg was born and raised in Los Angeles's San Fernando Valley, attended Pepperdine University, and is a graduate of the California State University at Northridge. She lives in Pasadena, Calif., in a restored California Craftsman home with her husband and business partner Michael Carrillo. They have three children and a grandson on the way.
