| Position Responsibilities: |
Position Summary: This position will work closely with the Manager, Logistics Planning to maintain a balance of high level of availability of equipment and service parts for customer and tech orders and optimized inventory levels via the planning and production scheduling of remanufactured fixed assets along with forecasting and maintaining new vendor orders. Will assist in the development of data retrieval, validation and storage. In addition, responsibilities will include inventory and asset management along with KPI measurement and reporting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Data Retrieval & Analysis * Develop, prepare and maintain forecast and calculate inventory thresholds for all fixed assets. * Develop, coordinate, maintain and implement data collection storage and reporting system to make procurement-related decisions. * Review and monitor statistical models to assist in analyzing system generated forecasts * Obtain and compile data associated with customer program schedules that the statistical forecasting model would not include. Fixed Asset and Service Parts Planning * Maintain accurate and reliable production planning systems information. (i.e. maintains and updates system dates, product quantities, and other vital systems information.) * Responsible for the development of short and long range forecasts. * Daily maintenance of all data and information parameters within the forecasting tool. * Incorporate forecast information from Marketing or other sources of intelligence to develop a modified demand plan. Reporting * Responsible for the development and maintenance of standard reports that support daily activities, long term strategic planning and inventory control. * Responsible for creating ad hoc reports utilizing current data and data extracts. * Develop, maintain and publish accurate records and reports for production scheduling and purchasing activities. Measurements * Develop analysis with key performance indicators for inventory management, including surplus/obsolete, vendor management strategy and distribution network operations. Publish these KPI`s, monitor results and implement appropriate action reports if applicable. Asset Management * Optimize, manage and control inventory fixed assets utilizing current systems. * This includes the movement of resource assets to remanufacturing vendors and balancing available inventory into the most efficient network locations. * Bachelor`s degree (preferred) * Working knowledge of inventory, planning software systems and order/purchasing software systems * Strong organizational skills are needed to multi task * Excellent oral and written skills needed to communicate with employees and sales and service management * Working knowledge of Microsoft based systems (Strong Excel and Access) with regard to development of reports, measurements and analyses tools. * Strong problem solving and resolution skills * Excellent attention to detail.
