Position Responsibilities: Kellogg Company has an exciting role for a Manager, Category Strategy position in Battle Creek, MI. This role will be accountable for driving and executing Brand and Innovation strategies through Category Management and ensuring consistently customer and consumer engagement.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


- Delivers Category Management insights to Customer and Brand Marketing, Innovation, Market Research and Sales in order to enhance Kellogg`s go-to-market Marketing, Innovation and Sales strategies.

- Delivering Category Management insights.

-Uncovering key category opportunities which impact Kellogg brands and developing solution based selling tools and presentations to target those opportunities.

- delivering goals, priorities and insights to Category Management relating to existing brands and new item innovation.

-Managing Kelloggs Category Management best practices around the consumer and customer within the commercialized go-to-market strategy.

- Deploying Kelloggs category customer strategies to field based Category Management through articulation and customization of key Marketing and Innovation strategies.


Minimum:

- Bachelor`s Degree and 4 years industry experience or H.S./GED and 8 years industry experience

-Previous experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally.

-Ability to draw conclusions, address key opportunities, and understand and apply market research tools to create selling stories.

-A strong knowledge of Category Management practices and tools (IRI, ACNielsen, Spectra ...)

-Previous experience negotiating and influencing, through communications, large groups or high-level constituents/representatives of an organization.

-Proficiency working in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Ability to work in conditions which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.

-Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time is required for this role.


Preferred:

-Previous experience driving strategy across business units

-Previous experience within the natural/organic segment

- 2 years of Category Management or Shopper Insights experience

- At least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience required.
