Company Description: We are one of the leading private brand marketing companies in the U.S. We provide concept-to-consumer support services for private brands including Brand Creation, Label Design and Production, Custom Product Photography, Quality Assurance, Sensory Testing, Label Inventory Management, WIC Management, and ProductMaster Product Lifecycle Management system.

We support our customers and suppliers with a Business Support Group that provides information on product sourcing, category reviews, new item/program development, market research, and analytics which in turn allows for growth of sales, penetration and profits for our customers and suppliers.

Position Responsibilities: Primary Function


Broaden the sales base by reviewing the existing program, proposing strategies based on new and innovative marketing techniques and expanding the variety of private label programs. Manage operational objectives, which coincide with account goals for the store brand program. Objectives will be based on store penetration levels on a per category basis, and supplier satisfaction levels. The function will also include coordinating account goals with supplier goals.


Specific Duties


Meet with key account personnel to review sales objectives, new marketing techniques at the store level and maintain an active and aggressive position in the industry of store brand marketing.


Bring new ideas to the account that will communicate accounts plans to meet the needs of their retail customers. Expand the brand equity of the accounts label through various programs.


Stay informed of current marketing trends in the private label industry and across the country. Communicate this information to the account on a periodic basis and on demand.


Maintain and promote a partnership with the vendor community ensuring an understanding of MMI`s role. Assist MMI in negotiating the highest brokerage rates available on a per vendor basis such that the maximum amount of resources, through Market Development Funds, will be made available for building a superior store brand program.


Measure the progress of account goals and supplier objectives incorporating the effort of MMI`s marketing services.


Be accountable for sales budgets and periodic review of progress with account. Manage all expenses on a monthly basis.


Represent MMI at all account meetings, supplier reviews, buying shows, conventions or trade events when the account information is appropriate.


Coordinate all professional services provided by MMI such as Creative Services, Information Networking and Quality Assurance. Ensure that the account`s expectations are accomplished from each of the professional services rendered.


Direct and manage all MMI personnel at the account.


A Bachelor`s degree in business or marketing and at least five years of sales experience in the grocery industry, preferably private label, is required. Having the proven ability to manage all facets of the business is necessary. Should possess excellent communication skills; have strong organization and time management skills and outstanding interpersonal skills. Having an above average knowledge of Microsoft Office Products is essential
