| Position Responsibilities: |
BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION: Function: 1. Serve as the key liaison between HQ Customer Marketing and the Field in areas of planning, execution and streamlined communication via single pipe. 2. Lead the quota and funding allocation process for the Area. 3. Provide category expertise for the Field (Customer experts) by clearly linking with HQ Customer Marketing teams who are also category and brand focused. Provide Customer POV/expertise to HQ CM. 4. Provide Field Sales with the planning process and execution timeline for the development of annual Customer plans. 5. Provide Field Sales with the timely communication of all information (i.e. Playbooks, New Item funding & tracking, supplemental programming, OA status, etc) to insure flawless execution and ultimate attainment of objectives. Scope: All volume, trade spending for assigned categories across all Customers in the Area. PRINCIPAL CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Lead Field sales participation in the development of the annual Customer planning process for the Area 2. Manage the Customer planning process from a strategic perspective and evaluation of results in the Area including: Customer Strategic Plan roll-ups and review (identify key opportunities to drive volume growth in all of the MAPS areas- not just merchandising) Monitor execution and results against objectives (volume, spending, profit & MAPS) Conducting post promotion event analysis to gain insights and apply key learning in best practices fashion in partnership with Sales Finance Managing trade funds within the Area 3. Provide Field Sales with the timely communication of all information to insure flawless execution and attainment of objectives. 4. Manage an effective and efficient flow of communication from Field to HQ CM and from HQ CM to Field always striving to add value vs. merely pushing paper. 5. Serve as the category expert for the Field on assigned categories. Deliver this expertise by participating on key Customer calls. Tailor world-class customer presentations coming form HQ Customer Marketing to specific customers in the Area. 6. Drive Field focus and execution of key Area priorities. 7. Coordinate customer specific execution of key BU strategies, e.g. co-marketing; customize research into customer specific insights and recommendations 8. Co-ordinate cross functional interactions between the Field and HQ. Key Linkages: Internal: Directors of Customer Marketing & DCMs External: Field VPs & Directors of Sales EDUCATION: BS Business Administration YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have prior Field Sales experience including Retail Sales, Broker Management, Direct Selling and people management.
