Company Description:  
Position Responsibilities: Responsible for managing and overseeing advanced, proactive and in depth analysis of the impact of pricing, changes of pricing and price sensitivity on the consumer. Responsible for overseeing and managing a team of analysts and senior analysts. Ensures collaboration among the Pricing Analysts and Pricing Operations Analysts and Category Managers, MVPs, COVPs, DMs & GMS in the recommendation of retails that optimize profit, drive sales and increase market share while overseeing process improvement and consumer price image improvement. Responsible for managing proactive analysis of competitive pricing strategies through the analysis of competitive shop data. Directs continuous improvement activities in both methodology used for analysis and data analyzed. Oversees the development of innovative methods and practices in reviewing, analyzing and presenting pricing solutions. Manages and oversees process improvement and develops new approaches to the conventional methodology of how analysis and reporting of department, category & item level monthly results. Drives the utilization of best practice approaches and new methods of running analysis based on expertise in Statistics and SAS. Reaches out to experts in the field of Revenue Management and attends conferences to understand latest trends and best practices. Oversees the analysis of the impact of price changes (for both National Brand & Private Brand items), ensures recommendation of price adjustments and the presentation of results to Category Managers or senior management. Integrates with SP&A team. Communicates and publishes fact-based results to management as well as makes recommended changes to pricing strategy. Drives the development and improvement of standard pricing analytic report templates, presentations, methodologies and processes through advanced analytical though processes. Directs the creation and analysis of price tests or the analysts who use statistical methods and reviews and approves Analysts` recommendations based on results. Manages the analysis of price changes at the store/market level, including the evaluation of store, PEG (Price Exception Group), & market pricing. Manages all post analytics for price changes and store CL changes. Ensures provision of post analytic pricing results for category and item-level sales as well as impact of store CL changes. Oversees the process of analysis and presentation of results for competitor pricing strategies through which national and local retail data are used and for market level competitive data that looks at multiple retailers. Ensures and oversees the verification of competitive integrity and the set up of competitive shops by analysis of locations and items. Manages the analysis of data used to select items and categories on the Key Value Item (KVI) list. Coaches and manages leadership and advanced analytic skills. Hire, develops and mentors staff, develops employees through orientation, training establishing objectives, communication policies, constructive discipline; builds employee morale, and motivation.

Preferred Qualifications:MBAExperience in reviewing and analyzing retail data (such as Nielsen, IRI, etc)Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problemsExperience with Revenue management or Pricing analysisExperience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they workIntermediate level skill in SQL (create complex queries using nested SELECT statements, simplify queries by creating new views, deleting and altering tables, using Boolean logic, working with NULL values, constructing queries, etc)Experience with Business ObjectsExperience with SAS
