| Position Responsibilities: | Responsible for leading team to conduct analysis on promotional activity and making recommendations to merchants on how to optimize usage of promotions. Responsible for managing the long-term development of the Promotions function. Provides direct strategic counsel to senior management in the Marketing and Merchandising organization. Collaborates with each Strategic Planning and Analytics team to ensure essential promotions frameworks (e.g., promo playbook) and systems meet the organization`s needs. Ensures execution of long-term strategies as identified by leadership. Manages structure and effectiveness of promo play books to manage content. Leverages promotional analytics in order to assist merchandising managers with determine promotional strategy. Evaluates best practices and continually seeks to improve departmental work processes. Collaborates with other functional managers to align promotional strategies with business groups. Develops new and better ways to present promotional analytic data to more effectively communicate results and trends. Develops and communicates vision for the department to staff. Identifies systems investment needs and works with IT and Finance to prioritize system development. Ensures focus on and/or attainment of performance metrics including comparisons with plan of (Sub) category same store sales, same store share, net margin, days of Supply; increase/decrease in value per transaction, basic assortment efficiency, promotional effectiveness, impact of price zone adjustments; traffic increase, 360 degree feedback. Coaches and manages leadership and advanced analytic skills. Develops and mentors staff, develops employees through orientation, training establishing objectives, communication policies, constructive discipline; builds employee morale, and motivation. | ||||

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor`s degree5 years experience in corporate analyst role1 year experience utilizing syndicated data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, etc.)3 years experience with predictive analytics to include regression analysis, clusteringExperience with project management (planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)Experience communicating both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (emails, letters, reports, presentations) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, external audiencesExperience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization & with vendorsIntermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel 2003 (formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering)Preferred Qualifications:MBA or MS/MAExperience presenting to and coordinating senior level meetings, including preparation of agendas, documenting meeting minutes, sending out documents to attendeesExperience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget |
