| Position Responsibilities: | Responsible for analyzing annual promotional sales and profitability at the category level through the Promotional Playbook process. This process includes data mining, creating a detailed playbook presentation, analyzing data, and making ad spot change recommendations to Category Managers for future ad spots. Perform additional ad hoc reporting and analysis on other promotional programs to supplement the playbook process as well as the overall success of planned promotional events. Makes recommendations to management based on promotional analysis and/or planning. Engages and develops analysis using market, competitive, and category promotional trends. Partners with promotions managers to obtain data and perform post event analysis. Attends client meetings to understand business needs and objectives. Monitors promotional sales and profit at category level. Performs post event analysis on corporate planned promotional programs. | ||||

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor`s degree1 year of market research or post event analytics experienceAdvanced skill level in MS Excel (using pivot tables, developing macros and using advanced formulas)Intermediate skill level in MS PowerPoint (creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts)Basic level skill in MS Word (creating documents, entering and formatting text, page layouts, creating tables, and adding graphics). MS Access (setting up tables, adding new records, working with forms, filtering data, running queries)Experience with accounting and finance principles involving sales, margin, and profits.Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization. Experience analyzing data and making recommendations to management based on facts and findings.Preferred Qualifications: Retail experience and promotional evaluation Experience in retail data such as Nielsen, IRI, ECRM (web based ad tracking)Experience with leading analytical software, such as SAS, SPSS and/or SQLExperience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion datesExperience in data analysis and financial modeling |
