International Home and Housewares Show |
McCormick Place, Chicago, IL - The International Home and Housewares Show will expand in scope with a new category that will focus on gourmet food and food preparation products. The Gourmet Home District, will be available to complement the show's other categories and reinforce the home focus for attendees.
"GOHO will be a new show experience with food preparation demonstrations, celebrity chefs, entertainment, and store setting presentations of gourmet food items," explained Phil Brandl, IHA president. "In our ongoing discussions with the retail community, we ask how we can make the show more valuable to them. In response, buyers have instructed us to be disciplined in the show's segmentation but to bring in appropriate categories under the show's umbrella. They repeatedly told us that gourmet/specialty foods would be a natural addition of an appropriate category that serves their needs." GOHO will be located in the South Building next to the cook and bakeware category. |
