Owen Graduate School of Management -- Vanderbilt University – Nashville, Tennessee
The Owen School's Executive MBA Program is designed to develop broad-gauge mid-career managers and executives. Meeting on alternate weekends (Friday and Saturday) over 21 months, the program provides both the knowledge and the credentials for managers to succeed in today's dynamic business environment. In the Executive MBA Program, managers gain the strategic business perspective of senior management without sacrificing the rigor and depth of a top quality MBA degree. A Program Designed for Managers At Owen, we understand that managers and executives have special needs for graduate business education. That is why we designed our curriculum around business processes and why we teach business in the context of the larger social, political, legal, and economic environments in which firms compete. Our EMBA students develop a solid knowledge of the functional areas of business as well as the skills to make complex business decisions. The program's integrated curriculum is based on the cross-functional business processes that companies use every day to solve problems and serve customers. At Owen, EMBA students learn management theories and principles in the same context in which they use them to solve problems on the job.
