As a market manager at Brown Forman directed and managed P&L, volume, marketing, pricing and planning across the central United States. Increased sales 18 percent in 10 months for tequila portfolio by developing low-cost program; executing 38 tequila dinners and training programs in U.S. and Canada, impacting more than 150 people at each event and building image and consumer loyalty; and training distributors’ sales teams, increasing their knowledge of the company’s brands and their performance in selling Brown Forman products. Achieved 44 percent sales increase by creating first tequila portfolio strategy engaging and educating retailers on tequila brands in Illinois. Grew Jack Daniels sales 32 percent in 10 months among Hispanic population in Chicago. As a brand manager led team of two market researchers and two creative agencies to create a new brand called Kluster and Kluster Light. Delivered final product three weeks before schedule and 15 percent below budget. Achieved 7 to 12 percent market share in six border markets in U.S. and Mexico thanks to the strategic alliance with four biggest retail chains in Mexico to increase sales, resulting in more than 4,500 new placements and 67 percent volume growth. During 10 years at Cerveceria Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma had numerous accomplishments. As a market manager directed P&L, volume, marketing, pricing and planning across 14 states in the Midwest. Increased sales 19.3 percent in 2006 for the Mexican portfolio, grew Tecate Light distribution 80 percent, and sold more than 60,000 cases in the first 6 months of introduction. Grew sales of Dos Equis 16 percent in 2005 and 35 percent in 2006 making the Heartland Zone the second fastest growing in the U.S. In 2002 he developed a new beer brand for the company’s Kluster and Kluster Light. Developed brand positioning, communication platform, price strategy, national programs, creative, SKUs, Internet, PR and volume goals for the new brand.
